A Disappointing Experience Overall
Staying here was a letdown, with filthy rooms and unhelpful staff. The location is decent, but don’t expect any comforts. Avoid at all costs unless you absolutely have to stay. A bright spot was the handful of local eateries nearby that offered better dining options than the on-site facilities.

Despite the kind staff, the peeling wallpaper and constant road noise made for an uncomfortable stay. I appreciated the clean sheets but wished for better soundproofing to ensure a restful night.

Not great for families, but it did the job
The staff was friendly and really tried to help when we asked for extra blankets, even though it took longer than expected. The breakfast on the second day had proper scrambled eggs, which was a nice surprise after the sad first morning.
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, but it was still acceptable for what we paid.

The Victorian charm of Kirkdale is simply delightful, with lovely period features and its fresh, welcoming decor. I also appreciated the bar's accessibility for a cozy evening with a good book and a glass of wine.
More elevator access would be appreciated.

The twin room we stayed in was cozy and bright, and we loved lounging by the pool during our downtime. There were plenty of relaxing spots like the garden and the terrace to unwind as well. It would have been nice to have an earlier breakfast option, but it didn't take away from our pleasant stay overall! 😊

The room was decent with a good size, and the bed was comfortable enough for a decent night’s sleep. It was nice and warm, which I appreciated. The bathroom had all the basics, and everything was kept clean. the decor felt a bit dated, and I felt like it could use some updating to really shine. Free parking was a bonus too.

The stay included a tidy room with essential amenities, such as a kettle and well-stocked toiletries. The cooked-to-order breakfast exceeded expectations, highlighting the quality of the sausages. a restriction on breakfast hours proved inconvenient, and the dining options were limited, especially for early risers. Location was decent, providing easy access to shopping, yet the hotel retained a dated feel despite some modern updates.
